- Mosaad ‘MsDossary’ Aldossary best Xbox player for second year in a row
- Saudi Arabian came up just short in overall title defence
- Season in review
Mosaad ‘MsDossary’ Aldossary stood on the brink of history. Never before had a player successfully defended his FIFA eWorld Cup™ title the following year, but after yet another convincing performance at the Grand Final leading up to the Final Showdown, he was pipped by Germany’s ‘MoAuba’ in the cross-console final, just as a second consecutive overall win seemed in his grasp.
The Saudi Arabian was the best player in the group stage and indeed the only one to win all of his matches. After that, he edged past Xbox titan ‘MegaBit‘ in the Round of 16 before giving free rein to his full attacking potential against Rogue team-mate ‘GoalMachine’ to make it through to the eWorld Cup semi-finals.
In the final four, he came from behind in the opening game to take the Xbox crown for the second year in a row and his eyes were on the ultimate prize. Alas ‘MoAuba’ was having none of it, winning the showpiece decider 3-2 on aggregate and securing a first ever title for Germany.
Despite that defeat in the overall final, ‘MsDossary’ proved once again that he is among the best players in the world and very tough to beat, as his list of trophies for the 2018/2019 season illustrates:
- FIFA 19 Xbox World Champion
- FUT Champions Cup – December
- Gfinity FIFA Series – March (Consolation final)
- FUT Champions Cup – April
- eSaudi Professional League 2019
The Saudi Arabian also proved that he could handle the pressure of the World Championship. His Xbox title showed his rivals that he is still a force to be reckoned with and will not have gone unnoticed by console rival ‘Tekkz’, who surprisingly crashed out at the group stage of the tournament.
‘MsDossary’ will once again be among the favourites next season and few would back against him winning another world title.
