Aaron Ramsey reveals why he chose to join Maurizio Sarri at Juventus following Arsenal exit

Aaron Ramsey has said that he’s looking forward to working with Maurizio Sarri after getting a close look at his work last season.

The former Arsenal man faced up against Sarri’s Chelsea side last term as both clubs competed for a place in the Premier League top four.

The Blues came out on top in that battle, and Ramsey says that he can’t wait to work with the new Juventus head coach in Serie A this term.

Speaking at his unveiling, Ramsey said: “The squad and the players and the manager have all welcomed me very nicely so far.

“I have spoken to him (Sarri) a few times. He is very approachable and easy to talk to…I am looking forward to the challenge and I hope to play my part.

“From what I saw last season, he had a good season at Chelsea. He was definitely a success and hopefully he can bring his philosophy and style to this team. Winning and playing good football is the ideal situation but it is not the only way.”

Expectations will be high in Turin with Juventus looking to retain their Serie A title and challenge for Champions League glory.

Of course Ramsey will be used to high expectations from his time at the Emirates Stadium, but the midfielder said that securing a move to the Italian giants was a ‘dream’.

He said: “When I heard that Juventus were interested in me, I thought it would be a dream to come here, as well as a great challenge.
